Rachael started her life as a youth and community worker almost 7 year ago when she undertook a placement with a community development organisation in SW London as part of her degree course in Social Policy and Administration. During her final year she partnered with a friend and ran 2 successful community concerts and graduated with a 2:1 - all at the age of 23!
Since graduating she has worked in the voluntary and community sector as a training co-ordinator, project co-ordinator and trainer, but always volunteering to work with young people as: part-time youth worker, mentor and outreach worker. Now a qualified youth worker, with an MA in Youth and Community Work she now works with young people on a full-time basis and is determined to get others to recognise the positive things young people do. "Every young person has the potential to be somebody great - it's just about getting not only others - but young people themselves to see it"
