LYB is a grant-giving organisation established to give grants to 11-25 year olds in Lambeth to help them run projects to benefit the local community. We know Lambeth is great, but we want to make it better!

At LYB, we fund projects which are focused on achieving our goals (things we want to see improved) for Lambeth. These goals are based on the Millennium Development Goals and Every Child Matters outcomes established by the United Nations and UK Government BUT we have made these goals relevant to life in Lambeth.

We can’t give money to everyone who asks though, and we have developed a detailed grant making criteria to help us assess our applications.

We will give grants of between £250 and £1,000 for a project designed to benefit our communities in Lambeth.

We have developed a friendly, fair but firm application process to help us decide who we should award grants to. This involves an application, an assessment, and finally an end of grant review.

The LYB can support every applicant to accomplish their goals (whether funded by us or not) by running tailored training courses, helping you to find information you need or putting you in touch with other groups or people who can help you. All of our applicants will also be given the chance to gain a recognised, national certificate for their project (again, whether we fund it or not). We really recommend this as its important you get rewarded for your efforts as well as Lambeth.
